About This Project
Villa Utamaro is really one of a kind, placed in a unique enclave. Right at the edge of the peninsula of Gerupuk, overlooking the whole bay with 360 degrees panoramic views, this house is a true gem in South Lombok. Meticulously passively design, considering carefully the orientation, the sun movement, the wind direction, this villa offers a truly luxurious and comfortable experience while enjoying and fully exposed to all the elements of nature.
The infinity pool blends with the ocean in continuity of the fully openable living area, which connects the interior zen garden to the astonishing views. The double height, the carefully selected materials and the wood patterns add traditional Japanese elements in perfect balance with a more vernacular Indonesian architecture and the natural surroundings. Like all of our projects, this house also have a solar panel system installed to lower emissions and a black and grey water treatment and recycle system, to lower as much as possible water consumption.
