Last month, the United Nations and their PAGE program (Partnership for Action of Green Economy) recognised us, BAMBOOK STUDIO _ Sustainable Architecture & Circular Economy Consultant, as a key player in leading the change to a CircularEconomy and LowCarbon Design in Indonesia.
Never in my wildest dreams I would have thought that our humble effort and passion to improve things would be recognised by such an important institution. What an honor!!
Ibu Rani and her team Dimas Andhika came to visit us in Lombok, not only to take a look at our Architecture NetZero Portfolio (more in particular our Zero Carbon Xanadu Retreat Project) but also they were very interested in our pro-bono local sustainability Initiatives, such as the BSF Sengkol Organic Waste Conversion Facility and Circular Economy Learning Center (first of its kind in Nusa Tenggara Barat) and the Lombok Eco Flea Market, an idea to join all the “conscious” entrepreneurs into a community that empower local artisans that integrate eco-friendly practices.
In November, we have been invited to present all of our “Green Action Initiatives and Vision” in a yet to be launched United Nations PAGE Program Conference in Jakarta. We will be there!
